About Us

Dr. Kayla Kvell, DNP, CNP, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Kvell is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults.

Her areas of special interest include ADHD, bipolar disorder and mood issues, postpartum depression, peri & postmenopausal symptoms, and metabolic/hormonal dysfunction and its impact on mental health.

Dr. Kvell uses an integrative approach to address and identify underlying causes of psychiatric conditions. She incorporates a variety of treatments and recommendations into her plans of care which may include lifestyle modifications; medications; supplements; therapy referrals; nutritional guidance and support; movement and exercise; meditation practices; and, if needed, referrals for specialty laboratory testing.

Dr. Kvell understands each of us will traverse the spectrum of human experiences throughout our journey, and every person will face pain and uncertainty along the way. In guiding her patients, she seeks to avoid pathologizing experiences that offer the chance to find meaning, purpose, and opportunity for growth. It’s true that laughter is the best medicine, and Dr. Kvell believes humor is often the ideal way to reframe our circumstances to see possibilities in our struggles. Her approach is warm and conversational, and her focus on understanding the whole person fosters a collaborative and holistic approach to well-being.

Deanna Pelley, MA, LPCC

Board-approved LPCC Supervisor

Many people come to therapy carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, depression, or struggles with self-esteem. Others simply feel “off” or unsettled in ways that are difficult to name.  In our work, we will gently bring language to what feels unclear, helping to uncover underlying conflicts and reduce their burden.
I offer individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults.  My priority is to create a safe, thoughtful space where you feel free to share whatever comes to mind.  Together, we will explore your emotions, relationships, and patterns of thinking to deepen insight into your inner world.  I believe that greater self-understanding can open the door to meaningful and lasting change.
In addition to my clinical work, I am a board-approved pre-LPCC supervisor and welcome pre-licensed clinicians seeking to deepen their psychodynamic understanding and clinical skills while gaining supervised hours toward licensure.  I offer a reflective, growth-oriented supervisory space that supports both professional development and the thoughtful use of self in clinical work.
